
What documentation do I need when picking up my roof box or equipment
rental?
You will need to have identification
and payment methods stated below:
- Proof of home address: A recent gas/electricity or council tax
bill
- Photo ID: Passport or Photo Driving Licence.
- A valid credit or debit card for security and damage deposit
purposes.
Equipment Rentals
- All rentals are subject to standard rental company terms and
conditions of the rental agreement, as signed at the time of Equipment
pick-up. Once you have signed the rental agreement, the agreement
is then between you and the roof box rental supplier
- All rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis from time of pick-up
- Failure to return the equipment on the agreed date & time
may result in additional charges
- Additional charges will be charged at the local rate, normally
higher than the prepaid rates
- Extensions to the rental period must be notified to RoofBoxRental.com
- All terms and conditions of the rental location from where you
collect your vehicle must be followed. It is in your interest
to read and understand these terms before signing the rental agreement,
if you do not understand, please ask a member of staff to help
you
- The hirer is responsible for the total cost of any repairs/replacement
up to the full deposit value of the equipment hired if damaged/lost
while in their possession unless you have opted for the excess
reduction or damage insurance. The provision of adequate insurance
cover for your goods is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
RoofBoxRental.com MUST be informed of any change
of vehicle prior to the hire date to ensure correct fittings are
provided
European/Overseas Rentals
You are free to take your roof box or other hire
equipment to any European country, you as the hirer must make sure
that you satisfy the laws of the county you are entering.
Equipment Types
RoofBoxRental.com is not able to guarantee a particular make or
model of roof box or associated rental equipment. The roof boxes
and other equipment illustrated within this website / booking form
are for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative
similar or upgraded equipment (at no extra cost). If you are dissatisfied
with the standard of equipment, you must advise us immediately.
Booking changes
Unforeseen circumstances may make it necessary for changes to be
made to your booking (after acceptance); we reserve the right to
do so. This may either be an upgrade, downgrade, price adjustment
or cancellation. In all instances you will be advised as soon as
possible before the date of hire, any pre paid deposits etc will
be refunded in full if needed.
Rental Rates
RoofBoxRental.com rates can vary on occasions. If there has been
an increase or decrease from the listed price, this will be confirmed
at time of booking.
The supplied booking confirmation is only valid for the dates and
times requested. No refunds can be made on pre payment deposits,
or un-used rental days or for cancelled bookings with less than
five days notice before commencement of hire. RoofBoxRental.com
reservations department MUST be informed of all
cancellations to avoid any charges to yourself.
Liability
Clients and customers of RoofBoxRental.com will be subject to the
terms and conditions of the contract, and the laws of the country
where the rental takes place. RoofBoxRental.com accepts no responsibility
for, and shall not be liable in respect of any loss; damage; alterations;
delays or changes arising from civil unrest; industrial dispute;
including port authority control disputes; terrorist activity; natural
and nuclear disaster; fire or adverse weather conditions; unavoidable
technical problems with transport; closure or congestion of ports,
roads, motorways; cancellation of scheduled crossings and financial
failure of ferries or transport companies in general. If it is decided
that we have any liability to you, for any loss or damage which
you may suffer (other than personal injury resulting from the non-performance
or improper performance of the services involved in the roof box
rental), that liability shall be limited to two times the price
of the roof box rental. Any loss, damage or injury caused as a result
of the use, fitting or overloading of the equipment is the total
responsibility of the hirer. RoofBoxRental.com and its employees
cannot be held responsible or liable in any way.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL ON HEIGHT RESTRICTED ACCESS AND DO NOT
TAKE YOUR ROOF BOX THROUGH A CAR WASH.
Complaints
RoofBoxRental.com is dedicated to customer support and loyalty.
To assist with any complaint, RoofBoxRental.com endeavours to resolve
any issue within 28 days of written receipt of complaint.
Data Protection
We will only use the information that we collect about you in accordance
with the Data Protection Act 1998
The type of information we will collect about you includes:
- Your name
- Address
- Phone number or numbers
- Email address or addresses
- Credit or debit card details, including card numbers, start
and expiry dates
By booking with RoofBoxRental.com on our secure server, email system,
in writing or telephone you are agreeing to have the above details
held on our database.
The personal information we hold about you will be held securely
in accordance with the data protection act 1998.
By entering our web site or sites, and inputting your personal
details including your email address, you agree that we may send
you promotional mailings, when we send such email we clearly provide
a remove email link, if you choose to use this link, we will not
send you any emails or promotional literature unless you request
us to do so.
We do not sell or forward your email address, your home address,
or telephone numbers to anyone or company. We may have to share
some of your details with other parties or agents to make bookings
on your behalf; this is performed in accordance with the data protection
act 1998.
